SAMPLE VALVES

  • Soft Seated (SV)

This Soft Seated series is our This Sampling Valve series is our standard series with a non-clogging design (no dead space) and an opening indicator for safe user extraction. The SV series also provides a reliable live sample as the one-piece piston fills the valve cavity. The SV series is used for both sampling and injection applications and can be customized to meet an entire facility's applications.

  • Metal Seated (MS)

Our Metal Seated Series is dimensionally the same as our standard SV Series but is suitable for ANSI Class 600, 1000°F applications.

  • Quick Advance (QA)

Our Quick Advance Piston series with features of our standard valves with a quick open/close feature. The QA series uses a rack and gear combination to maintain the piston's linear motion and provides the valve with a full piston design while traveling just 1/3 turn. This results in less time and labor required to collect a true, representative sample.

BOTTOM OUTLET & DRAIN VALVE

  • Soft Seal Piston Valves

The Strahman Soft Seal Piston Valve is a dead space free reactor outlet valve. When opening, the piston retracts completely into the valve body, which provides an unrestricted flow. In combination with our maximized port sizes, this design offers maximum flow capacity.

  • Metal & Dual Seated (VP series)

The VP series is the same technology as our soft seal piston valves, but with the added features of a high sealing, Dual Seal is well-suited for medium pressures and vacuum conditions. The metal seated version of this series is for higher temperatures and pressures.

  • Disc Valves (VD Series)

The VD Series valve is a Full Flow Bottom Outlet Valve. As with our other series, the valve is available with a wide choice of options such as metallurgy, seat arrangements, sealing systems to atmosphere and actuators. Other available features are full jacketing, vacuum package, and dead-space-free connections to vessels.

  • Rising Disk Valves

The VR Series is a Crust Breaking Bottom Outlet Valve, designed for breaking harder and tougher crusts that our other series might not be able to handle efficiently. A variety of options are available.

DIVERTER VALVES

  • Piston Type (DP)

To divert high viscosity products like polymers and slurries, dead space free valves are mandatory. Our full piston design avoids product build-up and clogging of the valve. Strahman offers a full range of Piston Diverter Valves specially designed for this purpose. With our modular component system, valves can be customized to match any piping layout.

  • Disc Type (DD)

The Strahman Disc Type Diverter Valve is specially designed to divert one main flow in two separate flows. The valves are designed to minimize retention areas. They are often used as reactor isolation valves in, for example, polyester processes. Equipped with the vacuum package, they are often used for full vacuum applications in combination with high temperatures. The valves are bi-directional.

INLINE VALVES

  • Inline Valves

Strahman’s In-Line Disc and Piston Valves are an alternative to failing ball, plug or gate valves. With a variety of positive sealing systems like M Seal, M Ring Seal and M Control, these valves offer superior in-line tightness. When opening, the piston or disc retracts completely into the valve body. This, along with our maximized port sizes, helps our designs provide unrestricted full flow and maximum flow capacity.

SPRAY & RINSE VALVES

  • Spray & Rinse Valves (VS)

The VS Series valves are designed for cleaning vessels or reactors without opening them to the atmosphere. The advantage of the closed cleaning technology is the protection of operators and environment against dangerous products used in processes like VCM and PVC.

SLAB GATE VALVES

  • Single Disc Gate Valve

These are slab gate valves specifically designed for delayed coking, ethylene an FCC cracking service. The Strahman Single or “Slab” gate design provides the end user with a long term reliable solution for line isolation. The flexibility of the slab gate design including flange connections, materials of construction, and the choice of actuation - whether it is best suited for hydraulic, electric, pneumatic, or hand wheel gear operation will fit the needs of design engineers.

  • Double Disc (GS)

These are slab gate valves specifically designed for delayed coking, ethylene an FCC cracking service. The double-disc gate valve has two separate stellited discs and two removable stellited seat rings; these discs are moving between two guides plates; when the two discs are in closed position, a flexible wedges system which is located and fixed on the side of the cavity body applies the necessary seating forces on the two discs to obtain the necessary tightness against the seats. This design feature offers the solution to other designs that are known to become jammed due to high temperatures and the “sticking” of the discs. These discs are then “dragged” along the seats without the proper release damaging the seats and making it very problematic to seat again without using excessive amounts of steam.

LINE BLINDS

  • 760 Series - Sliding & Non-Spreading

Our 760 series Line Blind uses a cam system to create space between the body flanges for the spectacle plate to slide or rotate into position and seal.

  • Line Blind 700 Series

The 700 series spreads the adjacent pipe flanges apart to allow for the spectacle plate to seal the upstream pipe.

  • 740 Series - Rotating & Non-Spreading

Our 740 series Line Blind uses a cam system to create space between the body flanges for the spectacle plate to slide or rotate into position and seal.

CUSTOM PISTON VALVE ASSEMBLIES

  • Custom Piston Valve Assemblies

The Strahman Pipe Valve Assemblies are mostly of piston type design. They are dead space free and customized to fit specific process piping. These customized valves are typically used for sampling, injection and draining of process lines. The valves are available with a wide choice of options such as metallurgy, actuators and customized or standard connections to piping. Other specific features include full jacketing, valve tangentially position to process pipe or additive injection. Typical applications include draining, sampling and injection for low and high pressures, slurry type and molten polymer processes.

BI-TORQ Valve Automation's FLP Series with BVs features high quality ball valves with API 607 fire safe certification. Our threaded end (NPT) full port ball valve is available from 1/2" through 2" in both carbon and stainless steel. We also offer stainless and carbon steel full port ball valves with 150# ANSI flanges from 1/2" through 4". Many of our FLP series assemblies are available as part of our Quick Ship Program making them ideal for fire protection applications where time is of the essence.

  • Fusible Links for Fire-Safe Ball Valves

Bi-TORQ Valve Automation Fusible Links for Fire-Safe Ball Valves. We recommend the annual replacement of fusible links as a part of plant maintenance.

  • Thermal-Electric Shut-off

BI-TORQ Valve Automation offers a Thermal-Electric Shut-off model in its thermal shut-off line of fire safety valves. A Thermal-Electric Shut-off valve allows an operator to trigger a single assembly or bank of them with a low voltage signal. When voltage is applied to the thermal-electric link directly from a PLC or other command device, the link will yield, the spring pack unwinds and the valve will close. The links also yield when the ambient temperature reaches the rated temperature of the link.
